Aug. 3, 2003 — The Government Employees' Retirement System will not process loan applications between Aug. 25 and Sept. 30.
The temporary suspension is necessary, said a release from Willis C. Todmann, acting administrator, to allow for the closing of accounts for the fiscal year.
Processing will resume on Oct. 1, 2003. Applicants are reminded that they must bring a valid picture ID and their last two consecutive check stubs.
