NO WATER MONDAY FROM NISKY CENTER TO UVI

Aug. 16, 2003 – The western area of St. Thomas from Nisky Center to the University of the Virgin Islands campus will be without potable water most of the day Monday, according to a release from the Water and Power Authority.
The interruption is scheduled to take place between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., WAPA said, and the areas to be affected include the Nisky shopping complex, Lindbergh Bay, western Contant, Cyril E. King Airport and UVI.
Service is being shut down so that WAPA personnel can tie a new 10-inch water main to the existing potable water system, the release stated.
While the work is under way, the authority advises motorists driving in the area of Moravian Highway at the top of Chinaman Hill to use caution.
