MAIN STREET, POLYBERG ROAD CLOSING FOR WORK

Nov. 28, 2003 – Road work will be closing portions of two Charlotte Amalie traffic arteries this weekend, according to Government House releases.
– Paving of Main Street and its extensions between the Old Cable Building on Norre Gade and the Labor Department Building on Lower Kronprindsens Gade was to get under way at 6 p.m. Friday. BetterRoads Asphalt is doing the work. There was no indication as to how long crews are expected to be working.
– Polyberg Road will be closed between the J. Antonio Jarvis School Annex and the Lovers Lane intersection by the Domino gas station from midnight Sunday into Monday, the Public Works Department announced. The closing is to allow Island Roads crews to complete striping of the resurfaced roadbed, a release stated. Again, there was no indication of how long the work is expected to take.
