BUSINESS PROGRAM TO DEBUT ON WSTA IN JANUARY

Dec. 1, 2003 – Starting Jan. 8, WSTA Radio will carry a new program, "The Global Business Report," at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
The host and executive producer is Jamila Harris, who describes the program's focus as "your source for business know-how and building your personal finances."
Publicity for the program states that Harris received the U.S. Small Business Administration's Media Advocate of the Year award in 1999 and the U.S. Commerce Department's Minority Advocate of the Year award in 1996 "for excellence in TV and radio business program content and impact on listening and viewing audiences" throughout the southeastern United States and the Caribbean.
Harris said the program will feature interviews with successful business owners and experts and will help listeners learn "how to succeed in business and prosper financially." Topics to be addressed, she said, will include how to increase income and get out of debt, how to protect assets and plan your estate, and how to start and operate successful businesses.
"The Global Business Report" also will showcase new businesses and their products and services and provide information about business and financial workshops and training events, she said.
The program will be accessible at WSTA online, the publicity stated.
