AIRLINE'S PLANS FOR THE V.I. GROUNDED

So, Ms. Webster and Mr. Richards claim that the name Caribbean Sun Airlines is too similar to Sun Airways and Caribbean Airline Acquisitions, and this is the only reason for not allowing Caribbean Sun to operate in the Virgin Islands. Mr. Richards, I just lost all respect for you as a community leader, and a Crucian.
Technically, this means that US Airways, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Continental Airlines, and all these other airlines should not be allowed to operate in the Virgin Islands either. US Airways is similar to Sun Airways, they both have Airways in the name. All the others have Airline in their name, just like Caribbean Airline Acquisitions. I don't see everyone running around all confused over the name game.
I very much doubt that if Sun Airways ever becomes a reality, we'll see the government of Puerto Rico, or any other island, tell them they can't fly to their island because their name is too similar to Caribbean Sun or Caribbean Star. Here we go again, keeping St. Croix down just because someone in the government is not getting what they want on the side.
I guess Mr. Richards has not kept well informed with the fact that everyplace Caribbean Sun and its sister airline Caribbean Star have begun operations, they have invested millions into the community in order to build up the tourism economy. How much has Sun Airways invested into the community to build up the tourism economy? Let's see …. that would be …. # # # plus # # # plus # # # that gives us a grand total of …. ZERO!!!
Just like the hotels and capital projects that are on line to be built. If it's on St. Thomas it's put on the fast track and everything is approved in a week. If it benefits St. Croix, it's put on the slowest track that are illustrious politicians can find, and it takes thirty years before anything is done.
Mr. Richards, I think you just lost a lot of Crucian votes when you decide to run for governor in the next elections.
