For the Crucian Festival Food Fair in Frederiksted, parking restrictions will be in effect for Market Street between King and Prince Streets and for Queen Street between Lagoon and Hill Streets. The restrictions will be in effect Tuesday, Dec. 30 from 3 a.m. until completion of the fair.
The food fair area includes the Ann Heyliger Vegetable Market, Market Street between King and Prince Streets and Queen Street between Lagoon and Hill Streets.
This area will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning from 9 a.m. until the fair's conclusion. Vehicles found within the restricted area will ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense.
For the Crucian Festival Children and Adult Parades, parking restrictions will be in effect for the entire parade route and on Strand Street from 3 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2 until the parade's completion.
The parade route includes a portion of the Queen Mary Highway (Route 70 from Hannah's Rest Corner), north to Fisher Street (Route 702), west to King Street (Route 631), and north to Paul E. Joseph Stadium. These streets and the parade route will be closed to vehicular traffic from 9 a.m. and will be reopened behind the parade as it passes.
Vehicles found within the restricted area will ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense.
There will be no parking on the LaGrange Road from the intersection of Ham's Bluff Road at the ball park to the Old Brugal Rum Factory.
Additionally, parking will not be allowed within 15 feet of King Street intersections to the east and all intersecting streets (Lagoon, Custom House, Market, Hill, King Cross, Queen Cross, and Fisher) between King and Strand Streets.
VIPD is urging those entering Frederiksted to use Wheel of Fortune Road (Route 63) and Mahogany Road (Route 76).
