FINAL RACES OF 2003 TO FEATURE FIVE-RACE CARD

Dec. 27, 2003 – The final day of racing in 2003 at the Clinton Phipps racetrack on Sunday will feature a five-race card. The races follow a nine-race card on Friday at St. Croix's Randall "Doc" James racetrack on St. Croix, an event that attracted thousands.
On Sunday in St. Thomas, the day of racing will kick off with six horses vying for a $2,800 purse. In the seven furlong race dubbed "The Northern Castle," the competitors include:
Two's Delicious F, My Special Delivery, Commandante Beauty, Til Papa Come, Short Circuit and Protexto. Post time is 2:30 p.m.
In the second race of the day, six horses will run seven furlongs for a purse of $3,600.
"The Force Landing" will feature: Picklewhip Charles, Seattle Chief, Tambor Mayor, Vintime, Coleone and Rushin' Away.
In the last three races of the day, three horses are set to compete. The third race, "Woman's Lib," will feature: Com il Fo, To Deposit Only and See Jane Run. The third race purse is set at $3,800.
Sunday’s fourth race, "The Quipo G," features: Sunday F, Brimstone Tough and El Azteca vying for the $3400 purse. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
The final race of the day with a $4,000 purse will pit Shotgun Pro, Tom Regan and Rehajaldo running a distance of a mile. The post time for the final race, The Photo Album, is 5:10 p.m.
