ST. JOHNIANS TO AIR LITTER WOES, TOUR PROJECTS

Jan. 8, 2004 – The Anti-litter and Beautification Commission will meet Jan. 22 on St. John. The meeting starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Legislature.
Commission director Cordell Jacobs said the commission is holding the meeting on St. John to hear about litter problems from St. John residents.
The St. John Community Foundation will give a report on its $80,000 grant from the Commission. The grant funds daily cleanups and planting of vegetation in Cruz Bay. Foundation director Carole DeSenne said the organization will also use the money to install trashcans.
She said that a tour of the organization's projects funded through the commission will follow the meeting.
