Young Entrepreneurs Develop Business Plans

August 10, 2004 – The students participating in "The Essence of Entrepreneurship" program will show what they have learned about developing a business by presenting mock business plans to a group of judges this Thursday at the Romeo Malone Community Center in Savan. The six-week Entrepreneurship Center, sponsored by the Department of Labor will conclude Friday with a reception.
On Thursday, members representing academic, banking, legal, private and government agencies will judge each group's business plan, which were developed using MS PowerPoint. The students worked in groups, determining their legal structure, selecting the officials, deciding on their business name, slogan and logo as well as identifying their market design, and other elements needed in starting a business.
The presentations will be conducted from 10 a.m. to noon.
The closing ceremony on Friday will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
