Students Make Splash With Business Plan

August 15, 2004 – Students participating in the Entrepreneurship Center of the Virgin
Islands program, "The Essence of Entrepreneurship" were judged Thursday at the Romeo Malone Community Center in Savan. Looking at the students' mock business plans were Karen Sprauve, of FirstBank; Daryl Edwards of UVI Small Business Development Center; and William "Kelly" Evans of Department of Justice,
The students had learned about developing a business in a six-week program, sponsored by the Department of Labor. The program concluded with a ceremony on Friday.
The winning team developed a business plan for Tropical Splash, a interior painting company.
Yvonne D. Petersen was the program coordinator.
