National Guard Offers Programs to Schools, Churches

August 19, 2004 – The V. I. Army National Guard is offering two program concepts for high school students.
The Career Directions and Guard Educators Achieving Results Life-skills programs are designed by educators and given free by certified military presenters.
According to a press release, the Guard's career counselors can conduct 30-to-45-minute presentations designed to provoke discussion and creative thought.
Subjects include social concerns, life-long learning, diversity, conflict resolution, study techniques and budgeting.
Youth-based and church-youth programs are also invited to request the programs.
