Lionel A. Smith Dies at 82 in Texas

Aug. 23, 2004 – Lionel A. Smith, better known as "Leo" or "Cry-Kay," of St. Thomas died on Aug. 18 at age 82 in Dallas, Texas. A retired Public Works Department employee, he was born in Little Apple Bay, Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands.
He is survived by his wife, Earline Dorothy Smith; sons Allen and Melton Smith; daughters Jacqueline Smith Webster, Angela Smith and Carol Smith Turnbull; a brother, Felix Smith; two sisters, Mariel Smith, and Ruth Donovan; 10 grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, following the viewing from 8:30 a.m. at Christchurch Methodist.
Burial will be in Western Cemetery No. 3.
