Reichhold Director on Leave to Work on Doctorate

Aug. 26. 2004 – Two staff members at the Reichhold Center for the Arts have been named interim co-directors of the theater complex while director David Edgecombe is on a leave of absence to pursue a doctorate in theater at the University of Texas-Dallas.
Joseph Boschulte, University of the Virgin Islands vice president for institutional advancement, announced on Wednesday the interim appointments of Pamela Sanes and Denise Humphrey to share management responsibilities.
Sanes, who has been the theater's business manager, will oversee business and financial affairs. Humphrey, who has been the Reichhold technical director, will oversee production and day-to-day operations.
Edgecombe, who has been director of the Reichhold Center for more than a decade, said he also is teaching a freshman course in "exploration of the humanities" at UT this fall.
The Reichhold's 26th subscription season will have its first performance on Oct. 9, according to a UVI release, with the season lineup to be announced on Sept. 2.
