DPNR to Hold Gil And Trammel Net Meeting

Jan. 13, 2005 – A meeting will be held by the Department of Planning and Natural Resources to consider proposed management of gill and trammel net use in territorial waters at 7 p.m., Jan. 19, at the Kingshill Curriculum Center.
Measures, including a gear buy-back, have been proposed by the St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John Fisheries Advisory Committee. Dean Plaskett, DPNR commissioner, urges those in the fishing industry to attend this meeting. For more information contact William Tobias of the Division of Fish and Wildlife at 713-2414.
