Ben Johnson to Speak at Democrats Meeting

Jan. 21, 2005 – Ben Johnson, who served two years in the White House under President Jimmy Carter and eight years as an assistant to President Bill Clinton will be the guest speaker at the next St. Thomas District Democratic Party Meeting on Saturday Jan. 29.
The meeting will start at 10 a.m. at Palms Court Harbor View.
Glen Smith, St. Thomas District chairman, said all registered Democrats were welcome to attend.
He also said he expected to use the event as an opportunity to collect dues from members.
Dues for active participation in the party are $5 per year, Smith said.
