Cricket: 40 for Two at Tea

Feb. 7, 2005 – The Leewards retook the lead, scoring 274 in their seconds innings and leaving the Windwards with a deficit of 119 on the fourth day of their Carib Beer Series cricket match Monday at the Cancryn Cricket Ground.
The Leewards scored 262 in their first innings, adding 274 to surpass the Windwards declared 417 for 9 first innings score.
The Windwards, 40 for two at tea, need 120 to win.
Overnight batsman Stuart Williams lead the Leeward's second innings with a century before lunch, striking 14 fours and three sixes, and scoring 115 before being bowled by Rawle Lewis, 180 for seven wickets.
Omari Banks led the Leewards with a half-century before being stumped
on a Junior Murray catch off a Lewis bowl. He finished with 58.
Devon Smith led the Windwards' chase with 27 not out at tea.
Craig Emanuel was leg before wicket off a Carl Simon bowl for the first wicket.
The second wicket fell as Sergio Fedee was caught by Stuart Williams, finishing with six.
Hyron Shallow was the other not out batsman.
Play started half an hour early Monday to make up for lost time due to
rain on Sunday.
