Sprauve School Holds March in Memory of Student

Feb. 10, 2005 — Students, teachers and administrators of the Julius Sprauve School will host a parade in memory of the late Javon Alfred, former student. The march will also promote safety awareness to students and the community. The parade will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, beginning at the Winston Wells Ballpark and moving throughout downtown Cruz Bay and back to the school.
“We are asking the community to come out and support our efforts to educate students and the community about the importance of safety and the impact of being extra alert when walking and driving. We also wanted to publicly pay special tribute to our sweet Javon, who was taken away from us much too soon," said Sprauve School Assistant Principal Dionne Wells.
