Community Alert: Rattan Road to Close Monday for Resurfacing and Reconditioning

Feb. 27, 2005 – Department of Public Works Commissioner Wayne D. Callwood advises St. Croix motorists that Route 74, better known as Rattan Road, will be closed from Monday, Feb. 28, through Friday, March 4. Only residents living in that area will be allowed to travel this route during work hours from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The commissioner said in a release that the Department of Public Works will be reconditioning and resurfacing Rattan Road from Five Corner's intersection to the intersection of Route 81 at Sion Hill Road. Motorists are asked to use North Shore Road for their daily commute.
Commissioner Callwood apologizes for any inconveniences that may arise as the road repairs move forward, he said in the release.
