March 8, 2005 – The stars will be out in St. Thomas harbor Saturday night to celebrate the 2005 ADDY Awards on a two-hour gourmet dinner cruise aboard the Romantica. The evening's fare will include a four-course meal, an open bar and, of course, the awards presentation.
The Ad Club of the Virgin Islands hosts this annual event that honors the work of the territory's talented advertising professionals. This year's gold winners will automatically have their entries forwarded to the regional American Advertising Federation competition. Top silver winners can also enter the regional AAF competition for an additional entry fee.
Top finishers in the regional competition will move on to the national competition.
Limited seating is still available at a cost of $95 for Ad Club members, and $125 for non-members. Tickets must be purchased in advance and walk-ups will not get on to the boat.
Boarding will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the Romantica scheduled to depart at 7 p.m. sharp. Tickets are available at Austin Advertising, 776-7829, Moxie Marketing, 776-0291, Video Audio Communications, 776-7635, and Interiors, 775-1855. Dress is "island elegant."
