Earth Day Poster Contest

March 7, 2005 — The Department of Education will be joining the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Virgin Islands' Office in celebration of Earth Day 2005 to be celebrated on Friday, April 22. As part of this celebration, the Department is encouraging all public school students in grades 4 through 8 to participate in the EPA’s Earth Day Poster Contest entitled "Greener Community, Healthier Living."
The EPA will accept only one poster per school for consideration in the contest.
Posters must be submitted to the U.S. EPA Virgin Islands Office in St. Thomas by 5 p.m. Friday, April 1. The EPA address is, US Environmental Protection Agency, The Tunick Building, Ste. 102, #1336 Beltjen Road, St. Thomas, USVI 00802-4789.
Contest winners will receive awards and be recognized at the Virgin Islands Annual Non-Point Source Pollution Conference held on Friday, May 20, 2005 at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort.
