Rattan Road to Close for A Week

March 11, 2005 – Route 74, better known us Rattan Road, closed today, and is expected to stay closed until next Friday.
The Department of Public Works plans to strip the road and raise the manholes from the Five Corner's intersection to the intersection of Route 81, Sion Hill Road.
Wayne D. Callwood, Department of Public Works commissioner, stated in a press release Thursday that pedestrians will be allowed to use the route, however, motorists are asked to use North Shore Road for their daily commute.
