V.I. Police Announce Information for Carnival Vendors' Permits

March 24, 2005 – Persons interested in selling food, beverages and other items during the 2005 Carnival activities are reminded that they must obtain a special permit from the Police Department, Deputy Chief Police Elvin R. Fahie Sr. said in a release.
Vendors must also obtain from the Health Department a valid Health Permit and a Food Handlers Card.
Permits will be issued at the Alexander A. Farrelly Criminal Justice Complex from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, April 7 and 8. No permits will be issued after April 8, 2005. Permits will be issued for the two Parade Days and J'ouvert (Roas'-A-Time) only. No permits will be issued to mobile food vans for the purpose of vending along the Parade route. The sale of beverages in bottles is strictly prohibited.
The permit fee is $50 per day for each vendor, and it must be paid in full at
the issuance of the permit. For more information, please contact the office of
