Unidentified Man Dead in Tutu Shooting

April 19, 2005 – Few details were available late Monday night on the shooting death of an unknown individual near Four Winds Plaza in Tutu.
"Residents at the scene reported hearing at least four gunshots in rapid succession," Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Hannah said Monday. The first reports said a man was shot in the chest, the victim was rushed to the Roy Schneider Hospital via ambulance. A while later he was pronounced dead, hospital sources told WVWI Radio One.
Hannah said homicide detectives were out "combing the area from Four Winds Plaza to near the Joseph Gomez Elementary School."
The killing is the ninth murder of the year in the territory, the fourth in the St. Thomas-St. John district.
