Memorial Service Held for Cruz Maria Cordero

April 19, 2005 — A memorial service was held Tuesday for Cruz Maria Cordero, also known as Crucita Francis. Cordero died on April 15 in New York City at age 70. The memorial service was held at Johnstone Funeral Chapels in New York City.
She is survived by her her sons, Alberto "Tito" Rodriguez and Excelman "Tony" Francis; daughters, Enid D. Francis, and Veronica Francis Boyce; her step daughters Norma Duran, Ella Morón, and Felicidad McBean; sisters, Delfina Persaud and Mary Hernandez. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Belen Hernandez and Ife Velma George; granddaughters, Nailah Brady, Akiah, Raisah, and Ymeldah Boyce, Perri Williams, Alejandra and Kayla Francis; her grandsons, Daniel and David Rodriguez, Daniel Raimer, and Excelman "Tony" Francis IV. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews and relatives in New York, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
Announcement of a memorial service on St. Croix will be forthcoming.
In lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made in her honor to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital for Cancer Research, P.O. Box 599, New York, NY 10021-0004.
