Nicholas J. Dunn Enlisted in U.S. Navy Program

May 18, 2005 (Fleet Hometown News Center) – Civilian Nicholas J. Dunn, son of Carolyn B. Dunn of Marietta, Ohio and Don J. Dunn of Christiansted, V. I., recently enlisted in the U.S. Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District Miami, Sunrise, Fla.
The program allows recruits to enter the Navy and take up to one year to complete prior commitments, such as high school. Using recruiters as
mentors, this program helps recruits ease into the transition from civilian to military life.
Dunn will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy
Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.
Dunn is completing his senior year at Marietta High School.
