June 10, 2005 – The Virgin Islands Basketball Federation will be hosting a Federation of International Basketball in the Americas "Referee Certification and Recertification Clinic." The clinic will be held on St. Croix from June 23 to June 26, 2005.
Fred Horgan of Canada will be the clinic instructor. Horgan is a member of the World Technical Commission of FIBA and the technical representative of the Americas region.
All persons interested in qualifying for nomination to the clinic must contact Rana Pratt at 693-3569 on St. Thomas or Laverne Joseph at 712-2281. Pre-clinic training sessions are planned for June 18 on St. Thomas and June 19 on St. Croix. Applications will be provided upon request and all interested persons must contact the federation by Wednesday afternoon, June 15, 2005.
