Community Alert: License Machine Is Not Working

June 22, 2005 – The Motor Vehicle Bureau Driver's License Section at the Patrick Sweeney Complex, located at Golden Grove, has mechanical problems as a result of a power outage. The driver's license machine is not printing the licenses properly.
According to a press release from Elton Lewis, police commissioner, it is not known how long it will take to repair the machine but the public will be notified as soon as possible when the machine is operational.
Lewis said residents would be able to use the driver's license for their new or renewed license until all repairs are completed. He added, "I extend our sincere apologies on behalf of the Motor Vehicle staff for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Thank you for your consideration and patience."
If you need farther assistance please contact Magdalene Benjamin, supervisor for the St. Croix's Motor Vehicle Bureau at 778-2244.
