WMA Reschedules Citizens Advisory Committees

July 1, 2005 – The V.I. Waste Management Authority wants to meet with residents, but just not yet.
Citizens advisory committees public meetings scheduled for July 6 on St Croix, July 7 on St. Thomas, and July 8 on St. John have been re-scheduled for Aug. 23, 24, and 25, respectively. The locations of the meetings will be announced at a later time.
May Adams Cornwall said in a press release, "We regret having to re-schedule these important citizen advisory committees public meetings, but it was deemed necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. New dates have been set and we look forward to meeting with the members of the community who are interested in waste management issues and are willing to join our committees."
Also notice has been given that the Authority board of directors has scheduled its meeting for July 8 in Cruz Bay, St. John. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the Conference Room of The Battery.
The purpose is to discuss administrative business and operational projects.
