Pistarckle Theater Presents "American Saint"

July 22, 2005 – The second in Pistarckle Theater's film series dubbed First Features will show Tuesday night. The series is sponsored by FirstBankVI, according to a release from Pistarckle.
The film, "American Saint," is the directorial debut of Joseph Castelo. After reading a casting call for a Milos Forman film about Jack Kerouac, Miles, a young actor, enlists the help of Charlie, a New York City cab driver, to drive him from New York to Los Angeles. His plan is to experience life "on the road" and get there in time for an audition.
The next two weeks will feature an international showcase with Italy's "Seven Beauties" on Aug. 2, and Russia's "Come and See" on Aug. 9. On Aug. 16 and 23 the film series will continue with film festival winners.
All films begin promptly at 7:30. There is no charge for the films, but donations are accepted. Moviegoers are invited to stay for a post-film discussion, where door prizes will be announced afterwards.
