July 21, 2005 — Rita Saeuberlich died at her home on St. Thomas on July 15 after a long battle with cancer. Rita was born in Rostock, Germany. She lived in several countries before settling on St. Thomas.
She truly loved the Virgin Islands and lived here for more than 25 years.
Rita's creativity and precision gave her a distinctive signature in decorating and designing. In accordance with her wishes, donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of St. Thomas, Inc., 7041 Estate Nadir #26, St. Thomas, V.I.
A celebration of Rita's life will be held at 6 p.m on Thursday, July 28 at the far end of Magens Bay beach.
