St. Thomas/St. John District Public School Reporting Schedule

Aug. 9, 2005 – Acting Insular Superintendent of Schools for the St. Thomas-St. John district, Emily Carter, has announced the 2005-2006 public school reporting schedule for the district's elementary, junior and senior high school students.
Parents and guardians of public school students are advised that the 2005-2006 school year officially begins on Monday, Aug. 29, 2005.
Students are asked to report by the following schedule:
All Elementary Schools
Monday, Aug. 29
All students in grades 1 through 6 will report for a full day of orientation and activities. Kindergartners will not report.
Tuesday, Aug. 30
All students in grades 1 through 6 will begin reporting regularly for instruction and activities. Kindergartners with last names beginning with A – L should report from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. only. Parents must accompany and remain with their children throughout the completion of the orientation. No classes will be held for kindergartners following orientation.
Wednesday, Aug. 31
Kindergartners with last names beginning with M – Z should report from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. only. Parents must accompany and remain with their children throughout the completion of the orientation. No classes will be held for Kindergartners following orientation.
Thursday, Sept. 1
All elementary students will begin reporting for a full day of instruction.

Requirements:
 ID pictures must be taken in the school uniform shirt. Returning students and all 10th, 11th and 12th graders are require to pay $10 at the time the photo is being taken. New 9th graders will make payment on orientation day.
 To be admitted on orientation day, students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and are required to be in full school uniform. Attendance at orientation is mandatory. Parents are asked to plan for a two hour session. Students will remain to complete the process and receive schedules.
 To receive a schedule, students (both new and returning) are required to attend orientation, pay fees, clear any outstanding obligations and present a photocopy of their updated immunization record, prior to receiving a schedule.
 Fees include $10 for the ID; $11 for school accident insurance; $1 general student fee; and $5 for team materials (new 9th graders only).

Aug. 29 –Sept. 2 Orientation for students and parents
Requirements: Full school uniform with ID (if available), a clear copy of current immunization record and $30 (new and returning students) to cover cost of ID, accident insurance and student fees. Parents are to accompany all students to the orientations in the IEKHS gymnasium.
