Community Alert: Veterans Drive Reduced to One Lane for Sewer Project

Aug. 22, 2005 — The V.I. Waste Management Authority advises the motoring public that portions of Veterans Drive, from the Cancryn overpass eastward to U.S. District Court, will be reduced to one-lane traffic from Aug. 22 to Sept. 10, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The reason for the disruption is to allow for inspection of the sewer collection system. Ellipse Consultants, in a joint venture with Metals and Materials Engineers of Georgia, will be inspecting and mapping the sewer system. Upon completion of the project, the team will begin work on St. John.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes when possible and to heed flagmen while work is being done.
