Biographer of Al-Anon Founder Signing Books

Dec. 29, 2005- William 'Bill' Borchert, famed screenwriter and author of The Lois Wilson Story will have a book signing 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Undercover Books in Gallows Bay.
For years, anonymity safely guarded the founder of Al-Anon's identity. Upon her death in 1988, the name Lois Burnham Wilson was released as the co-founder of Al-Anon, the organization founded to support family of alcoholics. But nearly two decades after her death, little is known about the woman who birthed one of the most important movements of the Twentieth Century. Borchert tells her story in his book. The story also includes her experience as the wife of the man who co-founded Alcoholics Anonymous.
Borchert was nominated for an Emmy after writing the Warner Brothers/Hallmark Hall of Fame movie My Name Is Bill W.
