The Veto of Nick Friday Song is Correct

The late Nick Friday deserves recognition for his contributions to Virgin Islands cultural arts, by way of the installation of a bust in an appropriate location. As a matter of fact there are many Virgin Islands men and women who have made similar contributions, but there names are not as notorious as the late Mr. Friday. A few names include Archie Thomas, Arthur Jeppesen, Pershing deGraff, Bennie Benjamin and more. The Governor was correct in vetoing the legislation to replace the Virgin Islands March with the Nick Friday song. This attempted replacement amounts to a populist game. The Governor's veto should not be overridden.
