Alert: WAPA Schedules Water Interruption for Thursday Night

Jan. 11, 2006 — The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority advises its St. Thomas water customers in the Kronprindsens Gade area that the water service interruption previously scheduled for last Thursday has been rescheduled for this Thursday, Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. through Friday, Jan. 13 at 2 a.m.
Water maintenance personnel will replace and upgrade a major service connection and associated meter boxes.
There will be no through traffic allowed on Kronprindsens Gade adjacent to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, so eastbound and westbound traffic will be diverted to the waterfront. The public is asked to obey all traffic directions.
This work continues WAPA’s efforts to make improvements to its infrastructure before the Department of Public Works repaves road surfaces in the area. The Authority appreciates the community’s cooperation during this service enhancement effort.
