Essentially I agree with Norvel Connor's opinion about mass transport. However, if we want efficiency the only answer is PRIVATIZATION! In the early nineties Vitran operations were contracted out to professionals from Boston (in St. Croix) and it made all the difference in the world. They printed the schedules in the newspaper along with a phone number you could call if you had any questions or comments. When you called that number, a real person answered who was both courteous and helpful. Government has no business running buses. They have proven that they have no idea how to provide prompt, efficient, courteous service. Privatization is the only answer!
