Jan. 16, 2006 – Ivan A. Richards, also known as "Puny", age 90, of Frederiksted, died on Monday, Jan. 9, at home.
He is survived by his daughters: Palmyra Benjamin, Lorraine A. Richards, Gerda C. Baxter, Anna Chase, Claire O. Richards, Genevieve M. Richards-Wright, Beatrice L. Harris, Sandra M. Richards-Howell, Denise L. Richards-Smith; and sons: Stephen C., Roy A., and John A. Richards, and Tyrone A. Richards-Krause. He is also survived by grandchildren: Steven A. and Lois A. Benjamin, Katherine L. Baxter, Bridgette C. Charles, Dawn M. Harris, Kristel M. Howell, Tessa F. Richards, Alonzo, Jason and Erica Krause, Ja'Nohn and Ivan McCartney, Keith J., Stacy C., Anthony A., Jason A., Paul A., Alexandria A., and Rukiya Richards, and Devere B. and Dioris L. Smith. Other survivors include11 great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Frederiksted Cemetery.
