Strong Response to Martin Luther King Story

Shaun Pennington's article on MLK should have been located on the editorial page not as a news item. Pennington writes: The young and not-so-young men and women of the Virgin Islands have been yanked from their homes and families to serve in a chaotic war half-way around the world that few understand. First, they weren't "yanked from their homes", they volunteered. And to say it's a war that "few understand" is strictly Pennington's opinion. Most educated people have a pretty fair idea of what we're doing over there and also why. Many don't agree, but they do understand. So, Mr. Pennington if you're going to editorialize about YOU think of the war, don't try to pass it off as a tribute to MLK.
