FYI: Lt. Governor Urges Renewal of Trade Names to Ensure Good Corporate Standing

Jan. 23, 2006 – Lieutenant Governor Vargrave Richards is strongly encouraging delinquent holders of trade name certificates to satisfy the renewal requirements of Section 1213, Title 11, of the Virgin Islands Code ("V.I.C.").
The Lieutenant Governor also reminds all corporate citizens to ensure that they are in compliance with the Territory's franchise tax statutory provisions of Section 531, Title 13, V.I.C. Failure to adhere to the stated laws could result in the revocation of a trade name, the assessment of penalties and interest, or corporate dissolution.
