Feb. 20, 2006–A Farr 395 from Bayfield, Wis., called Chippewa took first place in spinnaker racing in the St. Croix International Regatta. Skippered by Dave West, the Chippewa took home the weight of its heaviest crew member in Cruzan Rum.
Thirty-seven boats registered for the regatta's three days of racing.
Boomerang, a J33 from Tortola, won in the racer cruiser category.
Sun Bum II from Culebra, Puerto Rico, took home the Commodore's Trophy, a prize for good sportsmanship, presented by St. Croix Yacht Club Commodore Joe San Martin.
This year's regatta drew entrants from Antigua, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, the United States, and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.

BEACH CATS:
