VITFF Announces Invitation to Games

March 10, 2006 – The Virgin Islands Track and Field Federation announced that it has received an invitation to the XXXV Caribbean Free Trade Association Games in Guadeloupe from April 13-17. This championship competition is for track and field athletes under 20 and under 17. The V.I. National Team will be selected based athlete's eligibility and ability to meet the qualifying standards for the competition. All athletes and coaches considered for the selection are required to be registered with the federation. There will be a CARIFTA team trials competition at the Charlotte Amalie High School track on April 1 and at the St. Croix Educational Complex Track on March 25.
Participation in these trials is required in order to be considered for the CARIFTA Games.
