Peace Corps Elementary Has Name Changing Ceremony

April 10, 2006 – The Peace Corps Elementary School is having a name changing ceremony and unveiling at 3 p.m., on Sunday, May 7, at the school's campus. The school will now be named the Yvonne E. Milliner Bowsky Elementary School.
"All former administrators, faculty, staff and students of the school since 1973 are invited to attend the ceremony," said Principal Lydia Simmonds-Lettsome. "However, we are asking these individuals, if they, indeed, have an interest in being a part of this very monumental occasion in the history of the school, to contact us immediately."
Those interested in making presentations to Yvonne Bowsky at the ceremony or participating as a patron through an advertisement for the commemorative booklet are asked to contact Carmen Williams at 775-3220 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., or send a fax to 775-3355. The deadline to submit entries is Wednesday, April 12.
