Application Deadline for VING Youth Leadership Camp

June 5, 2006 – The Virgin Islands National Guard will be hosting the 2006 Youth Leadership Camp for dependents and family members of previously or currently deployed V.I. National Guard airmen or soldiers.
The youth camp will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., from July 5 to July 7, at Ivanna Eudora Kean High School in Estate Nazareth on St. Thomas. It is designed to encourage campers to be positive role models amongst their peers, peacefully resolve conflicts and acquire the skills to become a successful team leader or player.
Participants must be between the ages of 13 and 17, present a current military dependent ID card, agree to remain respectful of adults, and comply with rules and regulations as outlined in the application packet.
All meals, lunches, snacks and transportation will be provided. Those who are accepted must make a commitment to attend all the sessions.
Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m., Friday, June 9.
Application packets can be picked up from the Family Assistance Center at the Sgt. 1st Class Leonard B. Francis Armory in Estate Nazareth. For an application or information, contact the V. I. Territorial Youth Coordinator Evelyn Glasby at 712-7997 or the State Family Program Office at 712-7787.
