What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

June 6, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM, Sunday, June 11, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This Sunday we feature The Dixie Chicks, Sara Hickman, Studebaker John and the Hawks, Paul McCartney and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Taking the Long Way," the new release from the Dixie Chicks. This is the number one CD in the country despite minimum airplay from country radio. The Dixie Chicks wrote most of the songs on this new CD, produced by Rick Rubin, who produced the final Johnny Cash CD's as well as the latest Neil Diamond CD, which featured a back to basics stripped down sound.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Motherlode," the new 2 CD release from Sara Hickman. Sara's fabulous new CD includes contributions from guest artists Shawn Colvin, Ruthie Foster, Jimmy LaFave and Kelly Willis. Expect to hear a number of these songs when Sara Hickman plays at Tillett Gardens on March 14, 2007.
We celebrate the birthday of Pookie Hudson of the Spaniels, and we remember Ray Charles on the anniversary of his death.
We include new music from Studebaker John and the Hawks, T Bone Burnett, Laura Cortese, the Animal Liberation Orchestra and more.
We also play music from blues artist Roosevelt Sykes, Paul McCartney, the Siegel-Schwall Blues Band, Little Walter, Gurf Morlix and more.

Tune in for a chance to win the latest CD from Northern Blues recording artists Watermelon Slim and the Workers. Also, thanks to Columbia Records, we have a copy of the new Dixie Chicks CD to give away, so tune in for a chance to win it.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker and Molly Molones.
