DPNR Will Hold Hearings on New Flood Maps
The Department of Planning and Natural Resources will hold the second series of public hearings to discuss the new Flood Insurance Study report, the Flood Insurance Rate Map, the new digital mapping system and other pertinent issues that may affect your flood insurance coverage or opportunities to acquire loans from lending institutions.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) along with DPNR is currently reviewing the flood zone areas throughout the territory and greatly encourages all interested persons to partake in these meetings. The public hearing will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Tuesday, June 13, at the Cyril E. King Airport Terminal Building, in the 2nd floor DPNR conference room.
