Dear Source:
Wow! This was a true shock to me when I heard about Greg's sudden death. I grew up with Greg; his Dad "Big B" and my Dad, Former Captain Arthur Brown of the Virgin Islands police force were best of friends. They often met at our home in Concordia, Frederiksted, with others like Former Captain of Police Elmo James to discuss politics. Greg also served on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs, formerly Boys Club for whom I am currently employed by for over 25 years.
I left the Virgin Islands over 20 years now, but travel home 2 -3 times a year and every time I arrive on St. Croix I never missed the opportunity to meet and greet him at Pier 69 and other locations.
I am sitting here typing this email at my desk in Atlanta with tears rolling down my face simply because I did not have the chance to see him or talk to him prior to his untimely departure from this beautiful place we call Paradise, St. Croix!
So, on behalf of the Brown family we say to Greg and family, We Love You, We bless You, We Appreciate You and We Thank God for You!
Ed Brown
