Jane Doud Hines Hatcher Is Dead at 92

June 20, 2006 – Jane Hines Hatcher died from complications of pulmonary disease on May 31, at Friends House in Sandy Spring, Maryland. She was 92 years old.
She was a resident of St. Croix from 1976-1982 and worked for St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she was also a member.
Hatcher is survived by sons: Stephen P. Hines and David P. Hines; stepsons: David J. Hatcher and Robert Hatcher. She is also survived by two granddaughters and a step-granddaughter, as well as many friends.
A memorial service is planned to celebrate her life at 3 p.m., on Saturday, July 15, at the Miller Center in Friends House Retirement Community in Sandy Spring, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jane's memory to the Friends House Assistance Fund, which supports low-income residents who need assistance for medications, dental appliances, eye care, etc.
There will be an Internment service held at 10 a.m., on July 22, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Horseshoe Bend, Ark., so that she can be placed to rest with her second husband Bob Hatcher.
