What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

June 21, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM, Sunday, June 25, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This Sunday we will feature Dr. John, Diana Jones, Eva Cassidy, Clifton Chenier, Johnny Mercer songs and more.

The Modern Music Feature CD is "Mercernary" by Dr. John, whose new release is a tribute to the songs of the American songwriter Johnny Mercer, who, coincidentally, would have celebrated a birthday this Sunday if he were still alive.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "My Rembrance of You" by Diana Jones. Jones is one of the bright young voices in American music today and this new CD is getting a lot of airplay on non-commercial radio stations around the country.
We celebrate the birthday of Johnny Mercer and feature a number of artists singing Mercer songs, including Rita Coolidge, Eva Cassidy, Don McLean, Carly Simon, Nancy Wilson and more.
We also celebrate the birthdays of Tim Finn, zydeco great Clifton Chenier, and Clint Warwick, who was a member of the original Moody Blues.
We will play new music from Robin Trower, Smokin Joe Kubek and Bnois King, Brian Setzer, the Bottle Rockets and more.
We also include music from Dale Watson, Sam Bush and David Grisman, Lee Roy Parnell, Neko Case, C.J. Chenier and more.

Tune in for a chance to win an exciting blues CD from John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers as well as a chance to win a fine new zydeco release from Lisa Haley and the Zydecats.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker and Molly Molones.
