St. Croix Majorettes En Route to Nation's Capital

June 22, 2006 – St. Croix's very own St. Croix Majorettes are traveling to Washington, D.C., to participate in this year's D.C. Caribbean Carnival. The majorettes will entertain the district's Carnival spectators along with De Island Masqueraders, according to a release from Delegate Donna Christensen's office.
Christensen, in conjunction with De Island Masqueraders, Callwood & Associates and the ARCH Institute, will host a special welcome reception for the majorettes at the Rayburn House Office Building this Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The majorettes will return to the territory on Tuesday, June 27.
