Alert: Work on Beltjen Road to Reroute Traffic

June 29, 2006 — The V.I. Waste Management Authority will be performing repairs to the manhole adjacent to the intersection of Norre Gade and Beltjen Road near Wet Willy's starting on Friday.
This work will require the closure of the eastbound lane during the structural repairs to the manhole, reducing the roadway to one lane of traffic, a release from WMA said.
The project will commence at 6 a.m. on Friday, and work will be performed over the long holiday weekend. The project is expected to take five days to complete, weather permitting.
Motorists are asked to utilize alternate routes during this time. Those persons using the Beltjen Road are asked to reduce their speed and adhere to the directions of road crews and posted signs.
